Product features titanium zinc
NedZink produces titanium zinc according to EN 988 & ASTM B69, an alloy based on electrolytically zinc with a purity of min. 99.995 % Zn (Z1 according to EN 1179) with small additions of the alloy elements copper, titanium and aluminium.
With the KOMO product certificate and the EN 988 the following quality indicators are determined:
- chemical composition
- mechanical and physical properties
- measurement tolerances
The ISO 9001 certificate for the quality management system at NedZink assures a constant and uniform high quality, meeting our own standards and far exceeding NEN-EN 988.
The materials are provided with a continuous stamp with a mark according to the provisions of NEN-EN 988, mentioning:
- producer NedZink NTZ
- product description in German, Dutch, English and French
- nominal thickness
- batch number
- the year of production
- logo of KOMO (K7054)

Zinc details
Titanium zinc is a sustainable alternative to various other building materials. Today, it is considered one of the most sustainable building materials, which is due to several factors.
Titanium zinc can easily be processed with the usual zinc roofing tools. Due to its excellent processing properties, the anti-fingerprint coating (AFP) on the pre-weathered surfaces and an additional protective film, the material offers further advantages in terms of surface protection during storage and installation. Furthermore, a long service life can be expected for titanium zinc. For roofs, the service life is approx. 70 years and for façade systems the service life is even up to 100 years. For gutters and drainage systems 30 to 50 years can be assumed.
Furthermore, NedZink titanium zinc has an excellent environmental balance. The production of titanium zinc has a small contribution in terms of greenhouse gases, CO2 and acidification of the atmosphere. Due to its relatively high residual material value, zinc is also highly recycled, which also contributes positively to its environmental footprint. Other advantages are:
- High resistance to temperature changes
- Maintenance-free
- Durable
- Dirt-repellent
- Zinc is self-healing – Zinc builds up a self-healing patina layer.
- NedZink for aesthetic applications – Due to its uniform, natural and lively appearance, the material combines well with other building materials.
- Easy to process
